Whoa. Is this legit? This must be too good to be true.

It's legit, and it's not too good to be true. TrialPay is a for-profit company, but we want to help worthy causes utilize our platform to help them achieve their purpose.  The American Diabetes Association funds research, information programs, and advocacy efforts that support the nearly 24 million children and adults in the U.S. with diabetes, and the 57 million with pre-diabetes.  We have assembled a great group of respected consumer brands willing to participate in the Shop to Stop Diabetes campaign. These brands have given us codes to access their “goods” (products/services/discounts) which, in turn, we have bundled together to sell and distribute to you.

How much of my purchase price really goes to the American Diabetes Association?

One Hundred Percent (100%) of Net Proceeds arising from the Shop to Stop Diabetes campaign will go to the American Diabetes Association. The company putting on this promotion, TrialPay, Inc., has donated its resources and overhead to support the Shop to Stop Diabetes campaign, and will only retain an amount sufficient to cover certain credit card fees and other out of pocket expenses amounting to less than five percent (5%) of gross proceeds. In addition, TrialPay, Inc. has entered into an agreement with a third party marketing services firm to help manage the Shop to Stop Diabetes campaign, which firm will be paid a fee equal to a percentage of gross proceeds, plus reimbursement of out of pocket advertising, promotion and marketing expenses. In no event will such marketing services and out of pocket expenses be allowed to exceed thirty five percent (35%) of gross proceeds, and the difference, if any, will go to the American Diabetes Association. Accordingly, at least sixty five percent (65%) of your purchase price (and likely quite a bit more) will really go to the American Diabetes Association. TrialPay, Inc. will publish a report at the end of the Shop to Stop Diabetes campaign that will detail the full accounting of the amounts it has collected from all purchasers and donors and the amounts actually deposited and contributed to the American Diabetes Association.

There are some things in here I don't want. Can I skip those?

Don't worry about it. When you pay for Shop To Stop Diabetes campaign bundle of goods and services, your money is going to support a very worthy cause.  Of course, everything in the bundle is yours to keep (including the stuff you might not want - you don't have to use everything if you don't want to). We encourage you to try at least some of the items even if you don't have much interest. The consumer brands that have generously donated their products and services to the Shop to Stop Diabetes campaign bundle want you to try their goods, so please don't disappoint them! Our only requirement is that everything remains for your own personal use, and only for your personal use. No selling or exchanging or gifting. You can, however, buy a Shop for Stop Diabetes campaign bundle for a friend.  In fact, we encourage you to do so!

Are there restrictions on some of these items?

Yes and no. Some products come with NO restrictions, some come with a few strings attached. Please read the details for each offer if you're curious, and remember that everything in the Shop to Stop Diabetes campaign bundle is going to support a great cause, the American Diabetes Association...the goods you get are simply a nice bonus for you.

How many bundles are available?

The Shop to Stop Diabetes campaign is limited by the number of goods or services donated by participating consumer brands.  Although we are working hard to retain our current supporting consumer brands and to attract new supporting consumer brands to provide goods and services sufficient to meet or exceed consumer demand for the duration of this promotion, there can be no assurance that we will be able to do so.  Accordingly, our ability to offer the Shop to Stop Diabetes campaign bundle is subject to availability and may be terminated at any time. 

Is my purchase tax deductible?

Unfortunately, no. Because you are getting something pretty valuable in return, the IRS will not allow you to also take a tax deduction for your purchase price.

Can I buy a copy for a friend?

Yes. Indeed, we encourage it! Just click the "Buy for a Friend" button in the shopping cart, and when you order, we'll include the code for your friend. Give your friend the code, and voila, your friend will have his/her own bundle.

Can I contribute an extra $10 or more?

Yes, we allow you to contribute more than the cost of the Shop to Stop Diabetes campaign bundle in multiples of $10. When you do this, 100% of your contribution (minus credit card fees of 2-3%) will go straight to the American Diabetes Association. And you may be eligible for a tax deduction for this because you are not getting anything in return for your extra contribution.  That said, each individual’s tax circumstances vary and we are not in a position to provide you with any tax advice, so you should consult your own tax advisors regarding whether you may claim any deduction for additional contributions made at the time you purchase the Shop to Stop Diabetes campaign bundle.
